Learning intention

We are learning to appraise the Output of Learning, which showcases the progress to or attainment of the Learning Goal

Task outline

1000 words - 30% of assessment

In this assessment, students evidence their Output of Learning that showcases the progress to or attainment of their Learning Goal.

  • Appraise the value and purpose of the learning. The Appraisal may also include anticipation of future benefits related to transfer of skills and knowledge and development of connections. (Other subjects)

  • Evaluate the impact of strategies, perspectives, and feedback, identifying the most significant contributing factor/s that supported the learning process towards the Learning Goal and Output of Learning.

  • Showcase the Output of Learning and appraise it based on your learning development and own goals chosen and shaped throughout the portfolio.

The Appraisal should contain the following.

  1. A written appraisal of your learning project (1000 words)

  2. Evidence from The Output of Learning. This does not contribute to word count.

Step 1. Showcase Your Output of Learning (Not included in word count)

  • Present the final product of your learning journey.

  • Highlight how it reflects the progress or achievement of your Learning Goal.

Step 2. • Evaluate learning experiences

  • Reflect on the significance of your learning for yourself.

  • Discuss how the process has shaped your understanding, skills, and perspectives.

  • Evaluate how your Learning Goal has evolved throughout the portfolio.

Step 3. Evaluate Key Influences on Your Progress

  • Identify the strategies, perspectives, and feedback that had the greatest impact.

  • Explain the reasoning behind adjustments made in response to feedback.

  • Discuss the most significant factors that contributed to achieving your Learning Goal.

Step 4. • Anticipate Future Benefits & Application

  • Consider how your learning can transfer to other areas of study, work, or life.

  • Identify connections between your learning and future opportunities.

  • Reflect on how this experience has influenced your personal growth and direction.
